This pretty country cottage has been well and simply renovated to create comfortable and well thought out accommodation. The family currently live in the front part of the property but the rear has been prepared for a refurbishment that will eventually double the size of the accommodation.  The floors are ready for dressing, plastering almost complete and electricity and plumbing are in place.  The current owner had planned for access on ground and first floor levels and everything is in place to ensure a harmonious flow once the proper is complete.  A new owner would be able to live in the restored part of the property whilst completing the remainder without any disruption. An adjoin barn, currently with a large metal sliding door, could easily be converted to summer indoor/outdoor accommodation, games room or further accommodation.  Garden with an unusual long pond and three 300-year-old oaks trees.  Numerous fruit trees.  Blagnac Airport 115km.  Pau Airport 105km.  Primary school 3km. Secondary school 4kms or 18kms.  3km from everyday shopping, restaurants, doctors, etc.

Our Picks

This delightful stone house is situated in a lovely village with shops, restaurant, school, etc. The dwelling of approx. 187 m² habitable surface area comprises 4 bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom and private veranda, fitted kitchen, dining room, sitting room and 2 further shower rooms. Oil fired central heating. Garage / workshop of ~ 50 m². To the side of the house there is a carport and at the opposite end a charming enclosed patio area with covered bbq / diner area, perfect for alfresco entertaining. There is a good size garden at the back of the house with pretty views, mature fruit trees, swimming pool, large well and small outbuildings. Approx. 1000 m² of land in total.

This beautiful Chateau is situated in the quiet countryside on the outskirts of a small village not far from Plaisance du Gers and Marciac with its famous Jazz Festival. The Chateau itself is very handsome with clean symmetrical lines and comes with an equally handsome pigeonnier, plus an L-shaped guardian's cottage with attached barn and a separate stable block. We understand the property was bought in the early 80s more or less as a ruin and was completely renovated to the highest of standards. Where possible original features were saved and restored or when necessary substituted with suitable period replacements. There is good quality flooring throughout either in wood or tomette tile, a magnificent stone staircase and there are little patches of trompe l'oeil painting. Many of the rooms have silk lined walls, many have panelling and most have period fireplaces. Sadly however the property is no longer inhabited and needs a new owner to come along and restore it to its former glory. At nine bedrooms and with a habitable surface area of 650m², the property is large but not too large, and it will make someone a wonderful family home.
