Our Picks

This beautiful Chateau is situated in the quiet countryside on the outskirts of a small village not far from Plaisance du Gers and Marciac with its famous Jazz Festival. The Chateau itself is very handsome with clean symmetrical lines and comes with an equally handsome pigeonnier, plus an L-shaped guardian's cottage with attached barn and a separate stable block. We understand the property was bought in the early 80s more or less as a ruin and was completely renovated to the highest of standards. Where possible original features were saved and restored or when necessary substituted with suitable period replacements. There is good quality flooring throughout either in wood or tomette tile, a magnificent stone staircase and there are little patches of trompe l'oeil painting. Many of the rooms have silk lined walls, many have panelling and most have period fireplaces. Sadly however the property is no longer inhabited and needs a new owner to come along and restore it to its former glory. At nine bedrooms and with a habitable surface area of 650m², the property is large but not too large, and it will make someone a wonderful family home.

This is a very rare property consisting of a former medieval chapel and fort with stone outbuildings. Medieval features consisting of stonework and masonry, mullioned windows and vaulted doors, arrow slits, oculus and moat. Good views of the surrounding countryside. The dwelling, of approx. 102 m², has been partially converted in the former chapel and comprises 4 bedrooms, shower room, kitchen, study and living room of 24 m². The outbuildings, of a total surface area of approx. 789 m² over two floors, consist of the former medieval fortification, stables, barns and hayloft. Potential to create a substantial property of historical significance. Land, consisting of garden and meadow with a source and two ponds, of approx 2.5 acres (1 hectare). Possibility to purchase more land. 5 minutes from a lively village with amenities.
